Hakeem Nicks works out for Bengals

Hakeem Nicks worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, NFL Media's Albert Breer reported per a source informed of the player's plans.

Nicks returned to the Giants last season after a stint in Indianapolis. In 2015, Nicks appeared in six games with the club, tallying a mere 9 receptions for 54 yards.

Though just 28, Nicks' production has dropped off in the last two years with the Colts and second go-around with the Giants.

Nicks was drafted by the Giants in the first-round of the 2009 NFL Draft. In his first five seasons in New York, he caught 311 passes for 4,622 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Nicks could add much needed depth to the Bengals receiving corps. The team lost its No. 2 and No. 3 receivers (Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu) this offseason.
