Myles Jack impresses at UCLA pro day, intends to run 40 April 1

UCLA drew a huge NFL turnout to its pro day Tuesday, and linebacker Myles Jack was the main attraction.

All 32 teams were represented among the 123 personnel from NFL clubs present for the event. Eight general managers, including the Buffalo Bills' Doug Whaley and the Los Angeles Rams' Les Snead, and Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson were among those in attendance.

NFL evaluators were eager to see Jack work out on his surgically repaired knee. Jack did not run the 40-yard dash on Tuesday but did participate in the vertical and broad jumps. Jack recorded a 40-inch vertical and a 10-foot-4 broad jump, according to NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt. The vertical mark would have tied for eighth best among all combine participants this year. The 10-4 broad jump would have tied for fourth best among linebackers that participated at the combine.

Jack will participate in another pro-day-style workout April 1 at UCLA and he's expected to run the 40 that day, per NFL Media's Steve Wyche.

Jack also participated in position drills Tuesday afternoon.

The bench press was the only event Jack participated in at the combine last month as he was not fully cleared medically until last week. Despite that, Jack is still considered one of the top prospects in this year's draft and is projected to be picked fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 4 of 5 NFL Media mock drafts. Jack withdrew from UCLA last fall to prepare for the draft after suffering a knee injury during practice.

NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein was expecting an outstanding performance from Jack at the pro day, and his marks in the vertical and broad jumps Tuesday were very impressive. They're even more stunning considering he said he was at about 80 percent for his workout Tuesday.

Stay tuned for his workout on April 1 -- it could be one heck of a show.
