Representatives from 23 NFL teams -- including Chicago Bears outside linebackers coach Clint Hurtt, Washington Redskins director of college scouting Scott Campbell, and the directors of college scouting for the Oakland Raiders (Shaun Herock) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Mike Biehl) -- were on hand for Louisville's pro day on Wednesday.

The workout was held indoors and run on FieldTurf.

Louisville had one player at the NFL Scouting Combine, and he's among the top defensive line prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft class.

Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins -- 6-foot-1 5/8, 305 pounds -- stood on his combine numbers. He was described as having a great positional workout at the pro day, displaying a lot of quickness and strength. Rankins is capable of playing all three downs.

Another prospect with a chance to be a rookie free-agent pickup also worked out at the pro day.

Linebacker James Burgess -- 6-0 1/4, 236 -- ran the 40-yard dash in 4.61 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 32 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.47 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.06 seconds. He also performed 21 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Burgess had a nice positional workout.
