Elway will give Peyton 'plenty of time' for decision

Peyton Manning is stiff-arming retirement speculation in the lead-up to Super Bowl 50, concentrating instead on enjoying the moment in his 18th NFL season.

Once it does come time for Manning to make that decision, however, the Denver Broncos will await the news before setting their quarterback plans for the 2016 offseason.

"He's got plenty of time, whatever time he needs," general manager John Elway said, via the Denver Post. "I think it's never going to be a quick decision. You don't want it to be. It's one that's going to change his life ... and it's always a hard decision, so we'll give him plenty of time."

Elway is in a tricky spot with Manning leaning toward hanging up his cleats and seven-game starter Brock Osweiler due to reach free agency.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes Manning to make an announcement. If the Broncos win Sunday night, it's conceivable that the future Hall of Famer will reveal his decision before an international television audience.
