Packers' McCarthy won't coach Pro Bowl due to illness

Count Mike McCarthy out of Sunday's Pro Bowl.

The Packers coach will not attend the NFL's annual all-star game in Hawaii because of a stomach illness, the team announced.

Doctors advised McCarthy not to travel, leaving associate head coach and linebackers aide Winston Moss to take over for the rest of the week.

There's no reason for McCarthy to test his luck, especially in a game that has seen a flood of players bow out of the competition.

All of us here at NFL Media wish McCarthy a quick recovery.
