Haslam confirms Manziel was a no-show on Sunday

Have the Cleveland Browns had their fill of Johnny Manziel?

According to Peter King of TheMMQB.com, the woeful franchise is "so done with the guy" after Manziel, mired in the NFL's concussion protocol, failed to show up Sunday for a previously scheduled meeting with a team doctor.

The Browns were unable to reach the second-year quarterback on the phone, leaving King to tweet: "I will be stunned if he ever plays another snap for Cleveland. He wants to go to Dallas."

Team owner Jimmy Haslam confirmed Sunday night that Manziel didn't appear for treatment, saying: "It's my understanding he was not there this morning."

This comes after reports leaked that Johnny was seen Saturday dining and gambling at the Planet Hollywood casino in Las Vegas. Manziel later posted a Saturday-night Instagram photo showing him at home with his dog, tagging the photo's location as "Avon, Ohio" and using the hashtag #SaturdayNights.

This latest round of nonsense leaves Manziel's future completely up in the air as the Browns kick off their third head-coaching search under Haslam and fifth since 2009.

"I don't think right now is the time to comment on that," Haslam said when asked if Manziel would be kept on the roster, noting that Sashi Brown, the team's newly crowned executive VP of football operations, would have final say on the roster after coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer were fired Sunday.

A search committee of Brown, Haslam, Haslam's wife Dee and Jed Hughes of Korn/Ferry will hire the next coach before bringing in a new GM who will report directly to Brown while lacking control of the 53-man roster. This sounds as convoluted as ever, leaving Manziel's future with the Browns as a massive question mark heading into another turbulent offseason.

Cleveland fans might want to look away. It's not about to get better, although Haslam did hint that a new quarterback might join the team this spring, reminding anyone who would listen: "We do have the second pick in the draft."
