The Carolina Panthers' perfect season is no more.

After losing to the Falcons 20-13, their first loss in the regular season in 392 days, Cam Newton was asked if losing the undefeated season hurt.

"It didn't tickle," he responded bluntly, via the Charlotte Observer.

While many Panthers fans were likely dejected following the loss to the Atlanta Falcons, not all stewed or acted out on Twitter.

A sizable number of fans met the team at the facility after they landed back in Charlotte:

While it's disappointing to lose the chance for a perfect season, the Panthers are in the history books as the first NFC team to reach 14-0. Without the weight of an undefeated season, Carolina can keep focus on pounding in the playoffs.

"I think this will be a real learning experience," safety Roman Harper said. "Some of the young guys haven't lost all year. Coach Rivera hasn't had to give the 'loss talk.' These things are good for us. We'll be better because of it."

Carolina's most famous fan took a positive view after the loss.
