NFL to hold moment of silence for Paris victims

In wake of the tragic events that took place in Paris over the weekend, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has requested teams hold a moment of silence prior to Sunday's games.

The moment of silence to honor the victims will take place prior to the national anthem, pushing kickoff times back.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport noted on NFL Network's GameDay First Sunday that the French flag will be involved plenty in today's broadcasts, as the tragedy weighs heavy on the global consciousness. In some stadiums the French flag will be involved in national color guard during the anthem.

Other NFL teams have plans to honor those lost over the weekend, each in their own way. Saturday night, for example, the New Orleans Saints lit up the Super Dome in remembrance of the Paris victims:
