Ray Lewis releases snippet of new single

Today is a great day. Ray Lewis has released original music.

The former Baltimore Ravens linebacker and current ESPN analyst posted a snippet of his new single "Can You Stand The Rain" on his Instagram page on Thursday.

An Internet search reveals Lewis has some connection to the music business in his past. In 2013, Under Armour funded a mixtape produced by Pharrell Williams that included random cuts of Lewis motivational blather to teammates. It was weird.

"Can You Stand The Rain" (no question mark necessary) appears to be a full-on Lewis solo joint. This is pure, unvarnished 52. His heart, your ears, society's pleasure. I have seen the future of contemporary R&B and his name is Ray Ray.
