Golden domes, that is.

Notre Dame's 42-30 win over Pittsburgh puts the Fighting Irish in a strong position to move into the top four spots of the College Football Playoff standings next week. Notre Dame is ranked No. 5, and the loser of Saturday night's Alabama-LSU game will vacate a spot in the top four. Sixth-ranked Baylor played Thursday, and the winner of the TCU-Oklahoma State game could be Notre Dame's strongest competition for a spot in the top four next week. The four-team playoff field will be determined following conference championship games in December.

DeShone Kizer threw five touchdown passes on 19 of 25 passing for the Fighting Irish, including three scoring throws to star receiver Will Fuller. The Fighting Irish also got 147 yards on 20 carries from running back Josh Adams, who replaced an injured C.J. Prosise.

Pittsburgh receiver Tyler Boyd, one of the top draft prospects in the game, caught three passes for 84 yards and rushed for another 42 on three carries.
