Denver's destruction of the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night was perhaps the most significant result of the season. It showed the potential the Broncos offense still has. It shows the Broncos defense can throttle even the best quarterbacks.
The Packers were lucky to even keep it a three-score game considering they were out-gained 500-140. Mismatches like that don't often happen in NFL games, much less in a November game between undefeated teams.
And to think, the Broncos weren't even favored in the game.
"Being the underdog at home made us mad. Thank you Vegas," cornerback Chris Harris said after the game.
It was appropriate that Harris and Aqib Talib both got game balls after the victory, in addition to Peyton Manning. We highlighted the matchup of the Broncos secondary against the Packers wideouts before the game, and it's safe to say Harris and Talib dominated. Aaron Rodgers averaged 3.5 yards-per-attempt. Randall Cobb led the Packers wide receivers with 27 yards.
"I don't look at this like an 'I told you so' moment because I don't listen to what you say in the first place," Manning said after the game.
