USC loses starting center Max Tuerk for rest of season

Bad news continues to come from the USC campus.

Shortly after the troubling developments surrounding coach Steve Sarkisian hit the public, the school announced that senior center Max Tuerk would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The injury occurred during USC's loss to Washington on Thursday night. This is a significant loss for the Trojans, as Tuerk has been starting at various positions along the offensive line since his freshman season in 2012. While Tuerk's playing versatility will be missed on the field, Tuerk's leadership as a team captain will be missed as well given the upheaval surrounding the program at the present time. Tuerk is one of just 14 players to be multiple-time captains at USC.
