Chris Ivory was YAC machine against Dolphins

If it felt like all Chris Ivory did on Sunday was run over hapless Dolphins defenders, it's because that's basically what happened.

FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week:

The Jets' running back set a career high with 166 yards on 29 carries in Sunday's 27-14 win at Wembley Stadium in London, and a closer look at his performance shows just how bruising he was. According to ProFootballFocus.com, 110 of those rushing yards came after Ivory was first hit by Dolphins defenders.

Ivory's touchdown run came at the expense of Ndamukong Suh, Miami's $114 million man, who was unable to keep the running back from reaching the ball across the goal line in the first quarter.

The Jets have a winning formula in place. Lean on their top-five defense and hope Ivory can withstand the week-to-week pounding that comes with being a three-down back. He's already missed one game with a quad injury, and it's no coincidence it was the only game the Jets have lost to this point.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has not looked good in back-to-back weeks, and there remains a very real possibility Jets fans will once again be strapped into the GenoCoaster against their will. But Ivory is the one X-factor that can keep this offense afloat while the defense does its thing.
