Jeremy Hill to return to workhorse role after benching

Jeremy Hill was benched last week following fumble issues. It's all the penalty he'll endure for the two miscues.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson told NFL Media's Aditi Kinkhabwala the benching was punishment enough and he expects Hill to return to his workhorse duties Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens.

The news is a relief for fantasy football owners after Hill was held to just 10 carries for 39 yards in Week 2 due to the two fumbles.

In his stead, Giovani Bernard rumbled for 123 yards on 20 carries (6.1 average). Bernard displayed burst and even some power between the tackles as he took the featured role in the second half. Bernard will likely return to his position as a change-of-pace back behind Hill on Sunday.

The top NFL runner down the stretch last season, Hill has started 2015 with just 102 rushing yards on 29 attempts (3.5 average) with the two fumbles through two games.

The Ravens have not allowed an individual 100-yard rusher in 28-straight games. In the last five contests versus the Bengals, Baltimore has allowed 93.6 rushing yards per game and 24.8 points per contest.
