Eddie Lacy is on the proper path to playing Monday night.

The Green Bay Packers running back was limited in practice Friday after missing Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

Every game, all season

"We'll see how things go," McCarthy said, via ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

The extra day before the home bout with the Kansas City Chiefs is an added benefit for Lacy, who left last week's tilt in the first half.

We won't know his official designation until after Saturday's practice, but it's a positive sign that the running back is able to do any work on Friday.

McCarthy also noted that Davante Adams (ankle) will do individual drills on Friday, after playing through his injury last Sunday. All indications are that the wideout will be on the field Monday night.

Here are some other injury updates from Friday:

1. Saints coach Sean Payton announced quarterback Drew Brees (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

2. Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly (concussion) won't play against the Saints, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, according to a source informed of the situation. The team listed him as doubtful after he sat out of Friday's practice.

Wideout Jerricho Cotchery (ankle) is out for Sunday. Defensive end Charles Johnson (hamstring) and running back Jonathan Stewart (knee) were listed as questionable.

3. Redskins coach Jay Gruden confirmed cornerback DeAngelo Hall has a grade-2 partial tear in a toe on his right foot, an injury that could keep him out three to four weeks or possibly longer.

4. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (ribs) will play against the Denver Broncos, a team source told NFL Media's Albert Breer. Stafford was listed as probable by the team Friday. Linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip) is doubtful and tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) will not play. Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah (back) is probable.

5. Colts coach Chuck Pagano said cornerback Vontae Davis cleared concussion protocol and will start against the Titans. He was cleared to play Thursday. He practiced without a red jersey. Tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) is out.

6. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Marshawn Lynch will be a "game-day decision" with a calf injury. He is officially listed as questionable.

7. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (hamstring) and wideout Alshon Jeffrey (hamstring) are both ruled out for Sunday.

8. 49ers running back Reggie Bush (calf) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out to play against the Cardinals. Bush will not travel with the team.

9. Texans coach Bill O'Brien said running back Arian Foster (groin) "won't play this week, but he's doing well." Wideout DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) is probable.

10. Falcons running back Tevin Coleman (rib) will sit out Week 3.

11. Jets coach Todd Bowles said Eric Decker (knee), running back Chris Ivory (quad/groin) and Darrelle Revis (groin) are game-time decisions Sunday. Linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin (concussion) will play against the Eagles.

12. Rapoport reported running back DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is expected to play against the Jets, though the Eagles listed him as questionable. Wide receiver Josh Huff (hamstring) is also listed as questionable. Linebackers Kiko Alonso (knee) and Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) are out.

13. Titans tight end Delanie Walker fully participated in practice Thursday and Friday. He is listed as probable for Sunday.

14. Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman (knee), tackle Eugene Monroe (concussion) and defensive end Chris Canty (calf) have all been ruled out against the Bengals. Running back Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) is questionable.
