Receiver Breshad Perriman returned after missing the past eight weeks with a knee injury.

Perriman has done mostly individual drills while dealing with a PCL sprain. He also was seen running routes at half-speed prior to the team's Week 2 loss. The rookie has been sidelined since the end of July.

Sans the speedy rookie, the Ravens' offense has relied heavily on Steve Smith Sr. and tight end Crockett Gillmore as its top two pass-catching targets while stumbling to an 0-2 start.

It has been reported that Perriman could return to the playing field in October, so hitting the practice field this week fits with that timeline. Now it's likely a matter of Perriman getting back into game-shape without a setback.

Lacking a field-stretching weapon opposite Smith, the Ravens need their rookie to catch on quick when he's medically cleared to play on Sundays.
