Murray on McCoy: Move on with your life and career

DeMarco Murray has a message for LeSean McCoy: Let it go.

McCoy -- who has morphed into a headline-generating machine since his offseason trade to the Buffalo Bills -- had this to say about his successor with the Eagles in an interview with GQ: "I think Murray's good. But I don't see him as competition as far as the best backs. I like my game a lot."

Murray cut to the chase when asked about McCoy's comments on Thursday.

"At some point you've got to move on with your life and career," Murray said of McCoy, according to CSNPhilly.com.

Murray led the NFL in rushing with the Cowboys last season, then signed a free-agent deal with Philadelphia. McCoy has been critical of coach Chip Kelly and the Eagles since he was traded for linebacker Kiko Alonso on the eve of free agency.

"I never worry about what someone else says about me, good, bad, and ugly," Murray said.

"I can only control what I can control, and I can't control what someone else says about me."

We've written in this space before that no one needs this season to start more than McCoy. We're almost there.
