Titans' Sammie Hill has knee cleaned out, to miss three games

The Titans will be without their starting nose tackle to begin the regular season.

Sammie Hillhad his knee cleaned out Wednesday to fix an MCL injury, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, via a source informed of the situation.

Rapoport reported Hill will miss three games and is expected to return after the Titans' bye week to play against the Bills on Oct. 11.

It's not clear how and when Hill injured his knee -- The Tennessean believes the injury happened late last week in practice or during the first series versus the Chiefs on Friday.

A different knee injury kept Hill from playing in Tennessee's first two preseason games. Hill started 15 games last season and recorded 34 tackles.
