"When you know, you know," the two-time Pro Bowler said in an interview with Sports Radio 610 in Houston.

Myers added that there were a few teams interested in his services this season, but that he didn't have the desire to play another year. The Texans cut ties with Myers back in March.

Before doing so, Houston watched Myers extend a consecutive starts streak that reached 128 games. His longevity was almost incomparable among modern NFL offensive linemen.

There's no question the former Miami Hurricane could have played another season in the NFL. As training camp comes to a close, the need for veteran leadership and accountable blockers up front is never higher.
