Is Reggie Wayne one step closer to continuing his NFL career?

Every game, all season

The six-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher flew to New England on Saturday night to take a physical with the Patriots on Sunday, a source informed of Wayne's plans told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

It doesn't mean the team will sign him, but it's the first whisper of interest in Wayne in over a month. Rumors that the Ravens, Texans and Packers had eyes for the former Colts star never amounted to anything substantial.

Wayne battled injuries last season and looked like a shadow of himself on the field. Coming off three surgeries in the past two years, the 36-year-old's speed is tapped. Still, it's not surprising to see coach Bill Belichick show interest in the respected wideout. The Patriots have always had a nose for hard-working veterans, leaving Wayne as a potential addition if injuries mount in New England.

The latest Around The NFL Podcast caps the weeklong Fantasy Extravaganza by talking undervalued and overvalued QBs and everyone's draft philosophies.
