Amari Cooper says his Madden rating will go up

Raiders rookie Amari Cooperreceived the highest rating out of any rookie in this year's edition of Madden at 82 overall, but he wasn't happy.

In fact, he was hoping for an 86, which would have topped an epic 2010 draft class that included Ndamukong Suh and Eric Berry.

"That'll go up," Cooper told CSN Bay Area.

The funny thing is that Madden ratings for rookies are probably at their peak of importance given the rise in the game's popularity and the time in which many of these players grew up.

The seminal football video game got its claws into us almost three decades ago, but truly exploded during the PlayStation and Xbox years that Cooper and his fellow rookies grew up in.

No rookies will be arguing about how they look on trading cards anymore.
