Russell Wilson would consider both football, baseball

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night and you'll never guess what he talked about.

The underpaid signal-caller, who is reportedly looking to become the highest-paid player in the NFL, was questioned about what seems to be a very significant impasse between himself and the Seahawks when it comes to value perception.

"You have made enough money for them," host Jimmy Kimmel said. "I think it's OK for them to pay you. You want to be the highest-paid player in football, correct?"

In response, Wilson answered: "I just want to be paid based off my play. It will all work out in the end. We'll figure it out."

Wilson was also asked by the talk show host if he'd consider playing both football and baseball if his baseball contract ever ended up in the hands of the Seattle Mariners (the Texas Rangers currently hold his rights).

"I would definitely consider it," he said.

And who says the NFL isn't a bustling source of news all summer long?

Wilson has spent a lot of time and effort molding himself into the public figure he is today. The resolve he's known for will certainly be tested over the coming months. The contract situation is going to follow him everywhere he goes, even if he subs in for Robinson Cano at second base.
