Rams sign Todd Gurley, rest of 2015 draft class

The St. Louis Rams used Friday to get their entire rookie draft class under contract.

Top 10 lists:

Among the signings announced by the team was first-round running back Todd Gurley, the sensational talent out of Georgia who was picked to transform the team's ground attack.

Gurley, though, is "still a ways away" from practicing as the No. 10 overall pick rebounds from November's ACL tear, per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Rams also signed second-round offensive tackle Rob Havenstein, third-rounders Sean Mannion (quarterback) and Jamon Brown (offensive tackle), fourth-round tackle Andrew Donnal, sixth-round guard Cody Wichmann and seventh-rounders Martin Ifedi (defensive end) and Bryce Hager (linebacker). Sixth-round receiver Bud Sasser was waived last week with a non-football injury designation.

How this draft class is ultimately graded will channel through the handiwork of Gurley. The Rams are taking a patient approach with his recovery, but if healthy, he is bound to pay off with his special tackle-breaking abilities and blazing speed.
