Browns' Andy Lee makes emotional number change

After a long career wearing No. 4, Pro Bowl punter Andy Lee finally had a chance to change his number. Needless to say, No. 8 is far more meaningful.

After getting traded to the Browns this offseason, Lee requested the new digits to honor his late daughter, Madeline.

Madeline lived just eight days before passing away from post-birth complications. Lee first got to see his daughter on Jan. 27 of this year.

"I think sometimes, not necessarily by me and my wife, her life can get overlooked. She was here, she was a person but nobody got to meet her, nobody got to see her," Lee told the Browns web site. "She was really alive and really a person. It's a way to honor her and kind of just give her some glory she deserves."

When you have a moment, Lee's story is well worth your time.

During a preseason and training camp period that is obsessed with a final roster, sometimes it's valuable to take a step back and think about the players in the game.

We'll all be rooting for Lee to make his fourth Pro Bowl this year with a new number out front.
