Shayne Graham cut by New Orleans Saints

The Shayne Graham era is over in New Orleans after just a little more than one season with the club.

The journeyman kicker was released Tuesday just three months after being re-signed to a one-year deal, the Saints announced.

In Graham's lone season with the Saints in 2014, he was very efficient, hitting 19 of 22 field goal attempts and earning NFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors in October.

The veteran started his career in New Orleans, where he signed as an undrafted free agent in 2000. Graham most notably played seven years for the Bengals and made his only Pro Bowl appearance in 2005. He ranks seventh in NFL history in field goal accuracy (85.5) and holds numerous Bengals franchise records.
