Marcus Peters, Kansas City Chiefs reach deal

The Kansas City Chiefs announced the signing of first-round cornerback Marcus Peters on Friday.

A cousin of Marshawn Lynch, Peters was booted off Washington's team after a series of what he labeled "immature decisions."

On the field, Peters has drawn comparisons to Ravens star Jimmy Smith as a physical press-man cornerback with plus ball skills.

The No. 18 overall pick in the draft will have an opportunity to start opposite Sean Smith as a rookie.
