Punter Kyle Loomis (6-foot-2, 227 pounds) was at the NFL Scouting Combine, and wanted to work out again at Portland State's pro day. Scouts on hand at the event indicated that they had seen enough from Loomis at the scouting comibne, but he did some kicking anyway. Loomis, who is 27 years old, is among a number of draft prospects with inspirational back stories.

Offensive lineman Cornelius Edison (6-2 5/8, 307) ran the 40-yard dash in 5.36 and 5.39 seconds. He had a 25-inch vertical jump and 7-foot-7 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.92 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.84 seconds. Edison -- who has 33 5/8-inch arms -- performed 25 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Edison is a potential free-agent pickup following the conclusion of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Also working out at Portland State's pro day was Southern Oregon quarterback Austin Dodge (6-1 3/8, 208). Dodge -- who threw for 5,607 yards and 52 touchdowns in 2014 -- is described as a guy who has a strong arm but lacks good accuracy. It is doubtful that an NFL team will bring him into a training camp to take a longer look.
