Mayock: 2015 WR class has eight players with first-round grade

When NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock released his updated position rankings for the 2015 NFL Draft, most focused on how he'd moved Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota ahead of presumed No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston.

That wasn't the only tweak Mayock made, however. Among the notable changes was a re-ordering of his wide receiver group, which appears to be just as deep as it is talented.

"I've got eight wide receivers with potential first-round grades. Of those eight, I think six will go in the first round," Mayock said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft." "Kevin White and Amari Cooper are both top 10 talents. I like White slightly higher because he's got a higher ceiling."

Mayock also thinks those two, plus Louisville's DeVante Parker and fast-rising UCF prospect Breshad Perriman, will be taken in the top 20 of the draft.

Mayock adds in Dorial Green-Beckham, whose off-the-field issues put his draft status in question, and one other name who now earns one of those potential first-round grades.

"Nelson Agholor from USC is perhaps the fastest riser in the entire draft," Mayock said. "He's an impeccable route runner who can play inside or outside. He has tremendous value as a punt returner."

High praise for Agholor, the Trojans top wideout last season, who might be looking to go one round earlier than former second-round teammates Robert Woods and Marqise Lee did in 2013 and 2014.

Agholor was dealing with a hand injury at the NFL Scouting Combine, which prevented him from showing off his full complement of skills, but he put on a show at USC's pro day and has been the talk of draft circles ever since.

It remains to be seen if he can sneak into the first round, but it's clear that Mayock agrees with others that this is one loaded group of wide receivers in the draft.
