Patriots' Belichick attends Maryland's pro day

Representatives from 20 NFL teams -- including New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick -- were on hand for Maryland's pro day on April 2.



A total of 13 players worked out outdoors in 25-30 mile-per-hour wind gusts.

Outside linebacker Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil (6-foot-2 7/8, 244 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds with the wind and 4.89 seconds against the wind. He had a 30-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-10 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.25 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.18 seconds. He also performed 27 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Kudjoe-Virgil had a good positional workout.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs (6-0 1/4, 191) ran the short shuttle in 4.11 seconds, had a 60-yard long shuttle time of 11.46 seconds, performed 11 strength lifts, and then stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers coach James Urban put Diggs through his positional workout.

Wide receiver Deon Long (5-11 1/2, 191) ran the 40 in 4.58 seconds with the wind and 4.66 seconds against the wind. He had a 34-inch vertical jump. Long performed 13 strength lifts. Long was also worked out by the Bengals' Urban.

Nose tackle Darius Kilgo (6-2 7/8, 313) ran the 40 in 5.13 seconds with the wind and 5.2 seconds against the wind. He had a 24-inch vertical jump and 8-foot broad jump. He ran the short shuttle in 4.65 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.49 seconds. Kilgo -- who has 32 3/8-inch arms -- performed 33 strength lifts.
