Stevan Ridley headed to Washington for a visit on Tuesday.

As colleague Dan Hanzus pointed out, Ridley is one of the best two running backs left on the free agent market and before his injury issues in 2014 -- he tore his ACL in October -- he would have been close to headlining the class.
At 26, the former third-round pick does not come without risk. He was famously benched by Bill Belichick amid a fumbling spree in 2013, which eventually caused him to lose his gig to LeGarrette Blount.
His production, though, his undeniable.
Ridley has a career yards per touch average over four and has two seasons with seven or more touchdowns under his belt.
His reception numbers are low, but the teams interested are in much more need of a power option.
The good news for Ridley is that he's timed his visits well. With solid options long off the board and the draft still a month away, he's picked a good window to start a small bidding war.
