Representatives from 30 NFL teams were on hand March 23 to see 13 players work out at Iowa's pro day. Offensive line coaches from the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings and a tight end coach from the Cincinnati Bengals were among those in attendance.

Offensive lineman Brandon Scherff (6-foot-2 1/4, 319 pounds) suffered a hamstring injury early in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, but did stand on his combine 40-yard dash time (5.05 seconds). At the pro day, he had a 32 1/2-inch vertical and a 8-foot-11 broad jump. He completed the short shuttle in 4.57 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.18 seconds. Scherff has big hands (11 inches) and performed 22 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He had a very good workout, justifying his standing as a prospect expected to go in the first round.
Defensive lineman Carl Davis (6-4 7/8, 320) stood on his combine testing results, except for the bench press. He performed 28 reps of 225 pounds on the bench at the pro day. Davis has very good flexibility and moves well. He also has good lower-body strength.
Offensive lineman Andrew Donnal (6-5 3/4, 316) finished the three-cone drill in 7.51 seconds. He had 23 strength lifts and stood on the rest of his combine numbers. He moves well and has good core strength.
Defensive lineman Louis Trinca-Pasat (6-1 1/2, 292) put up 21 reps on the bench press. He had a good workout and is a hard worker. He even tried out as a fullback during the workout.
Strong safety John Lowdermilk (6-0 5/8, 210) ran the 40 in 4.65 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 33 1/2-inch vertical and a 9-4 broad jump. He recorded a short shuttle time of 4.39 seconds and three-cone drill time of 7.02 seconds. He had 16 strength lifts. John's father, Kirk, was a longtime NFL offensive lineman who played for the Colts and Vikings. John had a good workout and could land with a team as a free agent this year.
