Rob Housler Watch: TE visits Cincinnati Bengals

We've reached the "Rob Housler Watch" portion of free agency. Get excited, people!

The former Arizona Cardinals tight end is visiting with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports, per a source informed of Housler's plans.

The 27-year-old caught 96 passes in his first three seasons, including back-to-back 400-plus-yard years in 2012-2013. However, not a mesh with Bruce Arians' system, Housler saw his opportunities fall off a cliff in 2014 -- nine catches for 129 yards.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Housler is a catch-first tight end and could be a good bargain at this stage of free agency for a team in need of depth at the position. Given his size and athleticism, the pass-catcher could turn into gold in the right scheme.

Housler would slide in as a No. 2 tight end in Cincinnati behind Tyler Eifert, who is coming of elbow and shoulder surgeries.

The Ravensreportedly have serious interest in adding Housler and the Browns and Falcons have also been linked to the tight end.
