T.J. Clemmings of Pittsburgh works out for five NFL teams

T.J. Clemmings' pre-draft schedule has yet to include any visits to NFL clubs, but plenty of teams are visiting him.

The Pittsburgh offensive tackle has performed private workouts for the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals, he revealed in a diary entry for USA Today. Of those, the Buccaneers, Colts and Vikings count offensive tackle among their top five draft needs, according to NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein.

Clemmings said the workouts have consisted both of physical drills, and some testing of his mental retainment for various calls and assignments.

"The workouts usually last no more than a half hour. They put you through bag drills to see your punch, some run blocking stuff to see your get-off," Clemmings wrote. "... some footwork drills for your pass sets, pulling around cones and things like that. It's nothing I haven't done before, so it's not too bad."

Clemmings is widely projected to be a late first-round pick, which, along with the Browns, could also create a match for the Arizona Cardinals (No. 24) and Indianapolis Colts (No. 29). If Clemmings were to slide out of the first round, the Buccaneers' second choice comes up quickly -- No. 34 overall. It's Minnesota that falls in the wrong range, and perhaps would seek a trade if it wants Clemmings, with a pick likely too soon for Clemmings (No. 11) and one too late (No. 45).

NFL Media analyst Brian Baldinger projects the Browns to make Clemmings the No. 19 pick of the draft.
