Cody Fajardo of Nevada has look of a draftable quarterback

Representatives from nine NFL teams were present for Nevada's pro day on Wednesday, when 13 players worked out outdoors on FieldTurf.

Quarterback Cody Fajardo (6-foot-1 5/8, 223 pounds) went through an impressive, 54-play scripted workout led by noted quarterback coach Steve Calhoun. Fajardo was accurate with his passes and had good velocity on the ball. The quality of Fajardo's pro day workout lifted him into being a selection in the 2015 NFL Draft.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Fajardo was among the top performers at quarterback in the 40-yard dash, three-cone drill and 20-yard short shuttle.

Defensive end Brock Hekking (6-3, 255) ran the 40 in 4.73 and 4.77 seconds. He had a 30-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-9 broad jump. He had a short shuttle time of 4.31 seconds and did the three-cone drill in 7.41 seconds. He also performed 28 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Hekking also had a good positional workout, and could be a low seventh-round selection or a priority free-agent pickup following the draft.
