Tuesday's pro-day recap: Texas WR Jaxon Shipley emerges

The NFL Scouting Combine has come and gone, and the road to the 2015 NFL Draft has turned to pro days. College Football 24/7 will be your one-stop shop for information on workouts from Alabama to Yale and everybody in between.

Here's a look at the key takeaways from Tuesday's pro-day action.

Iowa State: Bibbs draws interest

Big draw:TE E.J. Bibbs
Don't forget:OL Tom Farniok
Notable attendees:Scouts from all but five NFL teams stopped by Ames for the Cyclones' pro day.
The skinny:Bibbs was the main attraction and delivered with a full slate of testing in addition to the normal pass-catching drills. He ran an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.86 seconds, jumped 31.5 inches and put up 22 reps on the bench press, according to reporters on the scene. Small but speedy wideout Jarvis West not surprisingly had the best 40 time, with an unofficial 4.36.

Northern Iowa: Johnson flashes talent

Big draw:RB David Johnson
Don't forget:DT Xavier Williams
Notable attendees:Scouts from just short of 30 teams were in town to catch the pro day.
The skinny:A whopping 10 players from the Panthers football team worked out for scouts, plus two small school prospects from Upper Iowa. Johnson impressed many in attendance with his movement skills during a variety of running and pass-catching drills. He stood on his numbers from the combine and elected to do only position work. Williams went through a full battery of tests and exercises.

Texas: Shipley emerges on scouts' radars

Big draw:DT Malcom Brown
Don't forget:RB Malcolm Brown
Notable attendees:Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro, Panthers RB Fozzy Whittaker and representatives from nearly all 32 NFL teams.
The skinny:In a welcome change from last year, there was a more palpable buzz at the Longhorns' pro day, and a bevy of potential picks worked out at the team's indoor facility. Malcom Brown no doubt was the most highly regarded of the group, and he moved well during drills conducted by the Lions DL coach. Fellow defensive lineman Cedric Reed did not do any work because of an injury, and most of the Texas players who were at the combine elected to stand on their testing numbers from Indianapolis. The guy who made the most money in Austin on Tuesday? It could be WR Jaxon Shipley, who "was ready to eat" at his pro day, according to NFL Media's Lance Zierlein. Among Shipley's impressive numbers was a 4.49-second 40-yard dash, according to NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt. Get Brandt's complete Texas pro-day report here.
