Grambling pro day: Faster 40 could make DB a free agent

Representatives from 12 NFL teams attended Grambling's pro day last Thursday morning. Twelve players worked out outdoors on a very bad field in wet conditions.

Tyree Hollins (5-foot-9 3/4, 193 pounds), a defensive back, ran the 40-yard dash twice on the wet grass, in 4.81 and 4.80 seconds. He came over to Louisiana Tech later in the afternoon to run outdoors on FieldTurf and clocked much better times of 4.69 and 4.69 seconds. If those times hold up, he's likely to be a free agent.

Hollins also had a 4.30 short shuttle, a 7.64 3-cone drill, a 34 1/2-inch vertical, a 10-1 broad jump, and 19 strength lifts.
