Vikings assistant coach attends Brown long snapper's pro day

Representatives from six NFL teams, including the Minnesota Vikings' special-teams coordinator, were on hand March 17 for Brown's pro day.



Three players from Brown and four players from local schools worked out. They ran the 40-yard dash indoors and did their shuttles and position work outdoors.

Long snapper Courtland Clavette (6-foot-3, 240 pounds) ran the 40 in 4.80 and 4.83 seconds. He had a 30 1/2-inch vertical and a 9-foot-4 broad jump. He recorded a short shuttle time of 4.41 seconds and a three-cone drill time of 8.12 seconds. He performed 22 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Clavette could land with a team as a free agent after the draft.

Inside linebacker Xavier Russo (6-4 3/4, 257) ran the 40 in 4.78 and 4.71 seconds. He had a 31 1/2-inch vertical and a 9-1 broad jump. He completed the short shuttle in 4.61 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.77 seconds. He had 24 reps on the bench press.
