J.J. Watt misses box jump, spotter pays the price

We've all gotten used to seeing J.J. Watt do amazing things. The Houston Texans defensive end and all-around terror received some well deserved MVP talk this past season.

But you don't get to that level without pushing yourself beyond your limits. Proving that even a juggernaut like Watt is human, he posted some photos of a box jump he didn't quite clear.

I wouldn't even count this on a fail towards Watt. But the true victim here is his spotter. Look at his feeble attempt to catch Watt. That's nearly 300 pounds of monster falling onto him. Poor guy. Watt appears to be fine, but no word yet on the spotter.

Daniel Williams is a Digital Features Editor at NFL.com and now thinks the 2014 MVP Award should be given to Watt's spotter. You can follow him on Twitter _@danielwilliams_.
