Da'Ron Brown is main attraction at Northern Illinois' pro day

Representatives from 15 NFL teams were on hand for Northern Illinois' pro day Friday, when seven players worked out indoors on FieldTurf at the school's brand-new facility.

Wide receiver Da'Ron Brown (6-foot-0, 203 pounds) didn't run or jump and decided to stand on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. There was a disappointment that Brown didn't run, since there was a feeling that he could run faster than he did while in Indianapolis (he posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.54 seconds). In the positional workout, Brown caught passes from former Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish -- who was "Mr. Irrelevant" in the 2012 NFL Draft. Brown caught the ball well. When facing the quarterback, Brown had no drops. When tracking passes thrown over his head, he had two drops.
