Le'Veon Bell hyperextends right knee in Steelers' win

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to dodge a bullet regarding the health of their most valuable player.

Running back Le'Veon Bell was forced from Sunday night's 27-17 win after Cincinnati Bengals safety Reggie Nelson hit his right knee. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said after the game that Bell hyperextended his knee and there didn't appear to be any structural damage.

The injury looked bad and had Bell immediately reaching for his knee while wincing in pain. After staying down for a minute, he popped up and jogged off the field.

Bell was sent to the locker room after medical personnel tended to his knee on a sideline trainer's table. He did not return.

With unproven Josh Harris and Dri Archer next on the depth chart, the Steelers can ill afford to lose a dynamic player so integral to their aerial attack in addition to their running game.

Pittsburgh's chances versus the Ravens next week would take a severe blow if Bell can't go at close to full strength.
