Injury roundup: T.Y. Hilton back at Colts practice

T.Y. Hilton is back in the mix for the Indianapolis Colts.

The team's leading receiver returned to practice on Tuesday after missing Sunday's ugly 42-7 loss to the Cowboys with a hamstring injury, according to Kevin Bowen of the team's official website.

With the Coltslocked into the fourth seed, it's unclear how much of a workload Hilton will earn on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Colts coach Chuck Pagano did emphasize this week that he'll play his starters in the finale.

Hilton's absence against Dallas exposed Indy's offense as a punchless mess. Without any threat of a run game and minus his top target, quarterback Andrew Luck logged the fewest passing yards (109) and the lowest passer rating of his career (41.7).

Other injuries we're following on this fine Tuesday:

  1. Aaron Rodgerspracticed Tuesday despite nursing a left calf injury sustained Sunday.
  1. Quarterback Philip Rivers (back) practiced on Tuesday. The Chargers aren't concerned enough to search for a third quarterback on the roster, according to the U-T San Diego.

Running back Ryan Mathews (ankle) and wide receiver Keenan Allen (collarbone) didn't practice for the Bolts.

  1. With running back Jonathan Stewart taking the day off, DeAngelo Williams (hand) was back at practice taking first-team snaps for the Panthers, per ESPN.com's David Newton.
  1. Facing a must-win game Sunday against the Browns, the Ravens will play without right tackle Rick Wagner, who was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a foot injury, per the team.
  1. Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams (shoulder) will be a game-time decision for the team's season finale against the Dallas Cowboys, per The Washington Post.
  1. Browns coach Mike Pettine told reporters that quarterback Brian Hoyer (shoulder) would not practice Tuesday. Rookie Connor Shaw will take all the reps, per The Plain Dealer. He also added that star cornerback Joe Haden is day to day and nut ruled out for Sunday.
  1. New York Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters Percy Harvin's ribs aren't broken and thinks Nick Mangold has a high ankle sprain. Mangold, who was in a boot, and Harvin didn't practice on Tuesday.
  1. The Falcons will battle the Panthers for the NFC South crown without the services of safety William Moore, who was put on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury.
