Aaron Rodgers will have a chance to lead his team on a deep playoff run.

Playoff Picture
The NFL playoff picture is shaping up as teams head deeper into the 2014 season. Who looks promising? Who's on the edge? Check it out

With the Packers' 20-3 win over the Buccaneers, Green Bay has locked up a postseason bid. Since Green Bay won, the Lions were unable to seal the NFC North in Week 16. The two will play in Week 17 to settle the division, with the winner guaranteed a first-round bye.

San Diego control its own destiny in Week 17. A win over the Chiefs will put the Chargers in the playoffs.

Who else booked tickets for January football?

» With their 20-12 win over the Chiefs, the Steelers return to the postseason after a two-season absence.

» The Patriots earned a first-round bye as they escaped New York with a 17-16 win over the Jets. New England will grab the No. 1 seed with a Broncos loss against the Bengals.

» With their blowout win over the Colts, the Dallas Cowboys clinched the NFC East division crown, their first since 2009.

» Thanks to Dallas' victory and Philadelphia's loss, the Seattle Seahawks clinched a playoff berth before they took the field for Sunday night's blowout of the Cardinals.

However, some teams saw their postseason dreams come to an end Sunday:

» Despite defeating the Minnesota Vikings in dramatic fashion, the Miami Dolphins were eliminated from postseason contention.

» A loss Sunday to division rival Atlanta ended playoff aspirations for the New Orleans Saints.

» The Philadelphia Eagles will spend the postseason at home after their loss to Washington and Dallas' win over Indianapolis.

» A loss to the Oakland Raiders eliminated the Buffalo Bills' postseason dreams.

Now that we know most of the Week 16 results, some of the Week 17 clinching scenarios have emerged. The San Diego Chargers are in pole position for a playoff spot. Here are some of the simplest scenarios we know before Cincinnati plays on Monday Night:

Bengals: Win and in for their final two weeks.

Chargers: Win and in

Ravens: Win + SD loss

Texans: Win + SD loss + BAL loss

Chiefs: Win + BAL loss + HOU loss

The Patriots clinch homefield advantage with a win against Buffalo next week or a Denver loss.

The Seahawks will clinch the NFC West and homefield advantage with a win over St. Louis as long as there is no tie between Detroit and Green Bay.
