Reggie Bush inactive for Lions' game against Bears

The Detroit Lions are once again missing Reggie Bush.

The running back is inactive for his third straight game and four of the past five contests.

Thursday was Bush's target date to return, but his ankle hasn't gotten better as quickly as the Lions wanted, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport added.

Even when healthy, Bush has epitomized a disappointing Detroit Lions offense this season. In the seven games he's appeared this season, the running back has gone over 50 yards on the ground once and has one touchdown. For the season he has just 191 rushing yards (3.6 yards per carry) and 169 receiving yards.

The struggling Lions running game will once again lean on Joique Bell between the tackles, with the shifty Theo Riddick as the backup and in passing situations.

The Lions are also playing without starting left tackle Riley Reiff, due to a knee injury.

Detroit's full inactive list: Bush, Reiff, Larry Warford, Ryan Broyles, Nick Fairley, Kellen Moore and Larry Webster.
