Randy Moss' son gets scholarship offer from Boston College

Thad Moss, a junior defensive end at Charlotte Victory Christian High School, recently received a scholarship offer from Boston College.

On the face of it, it's not that big a deal as high school juniors are being offered every day. At the same time, the idea that Randy Moss' son could eventually play college football in the same area that his dad enjoyed big-time NFL success for three seasons -- well, that is a big deal.

Thad Moss (6-foot-3, 230 pounds) earlier had received an offer from North Carolina State. His dad starred at Marshall (after first signing with Notre Dame, then Florida State), but Moss seems likely to ply his trade at a Power Five conference school.

"BC is a young football team that's building towards getting better every day," the younger Moss told EagleAction.com, a BC-centric website. "And I like what BC is academically."

He also said, "As of right now, no favorites."

Though Thad Moss' best position is defensive end, he also plays tight end -- and he's not afraid to tout his offensive skills.
