Injury roundup: Marshawn Lynch active for Seahawks

Beast Mode will be in full force Sunday at Arrowhead stadium.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on NFL GameDay First on Sunday morning that those close to running back Marshawn Lynch expect him to play against the Kansas City Chiefs with a calf injury. The team later announced that the running back is officially active.

"Marshawn Lynch is basically a tank, expect him to play today and expect them to give him the ball a lot as they've done recently," Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL GameDay First.

This meshes with NFL Media's Albert Breer's reporting from Arrowhead Stadium, where teammates expect the running back to be fine in a pivotal matchup with playoff implications for both teams.

Lynch was officially listed as questionable.

Seattle's running back will have to do work without guard James Carpenter, who was ruled inactive with his ankle injury.

Fortunately for the Seahawks' defense, safety Kam Chancellor (groin) is active after skipping two games.
