Jeff Fisher is not entertaining a change at QB for Rams

Jeff Fisher is still holding out hope that Brett Favre was right about Austin Davis.

The Rams' surprising backup has fallen on some hard times of late, throwing five picks in his last three games, two of which were losses.

But when asked about possibly playing Shaun Hill instead, Fisher was adamant about staying the course.

"No," he said, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Fisher is making the right call here. Davis, despite his recent rash of turnovers, has been better than any Rams fan could have expected this season. Think about the games that St. Louis won -- Seattle and San Francisco -- and think about the games they almost won -- Dallas and Philadelphia.

If anything, his poise under these circumstances has earned him the right to play out the remainder of the season.

Besides, what would playing a 13-year veteran to close a lost season do for anyone?
