Mississippi State to don alternate uniforms for Egg Bowl

The Egg Bowl could be taking on more importance than ever before this season, and as such, Mississippi State will play it in style.

Adidas is outfitting the No.1-ranked Bulldogs with alternate uniforms for its annual showdown with in-state rival Ole Miss, and released photos of the new look Tuesday morning. The game, also known as the "Battle for the Golden Egg," inspired the gold trim. An outline of the state of Mississippi is inlaid in the jersey numbers, as well.

The Nov. 29 game could mean everything for the Bulldogs, from a berth in the SEC Championship Game to a potential berth in the College Football Playoff. The uniforms certainly won't be well-received on the field, as the Rebels host the game this year, but if the stakes are higher than ever, the level of excitement among MSU fans will be at an all-time high.

If they can play as sharp as the new uniforms look, Ole Miss will be in trouble.
