Snoop Dogg: Pittsburgh Steelers are 'click-clackin''

It was just last month that Pittsburgh Steelers super fan Snoop Dogg was calling for Todd Haley's ouster, but a performance like Monday changes a lot of things.

The Steelers dropped an avalanche of points on the Texans on Monday, scoring 24 points in under three minutes at one juncture. The offensive outburst led them to 4-3 and renewed hope in the AFC North.

The legendary rapper's confidence in the team (and the offensive coordinator) was buoyed by the game, and he believes the Steelers can make the playoffs.

"Thing look like they're getting on a good foot," Snoop said during a phone call on Tuesday's NFL Total Access. "(Haley) looked like he was listening to me. He's starting to put Ben (Roethlisberger) in control running that hurry-up offense, so we lookin' pretty good against the Texans, and the Texans got a pretty good defense, so I was pretty excited about the win."

Though the Steelers looked good Monday, there's still cause for concern. The team struggled against pedestrian teams such as the Bucs and Jags in recent weeks and suffered a blow-out loss to the rival Browns.

We should find out how good the Steelers really are soon, though. They face the Colts on Sunday before taking on the division-leading Ravens in Week 9 in two matchups that could define the season. However, the Doggfather is feeling good.

"That's easy. Andrew Luck? We got him, and we already know how to take care of the Ravens -- we get them twice a year -- so we'll be all right," the artist formerly known as Snoop Lion said. "We need to get on a good foot offensively and let our defense keep click clackin' -- and I like the way we looked on defense, too."

If the Steelers do beat both the Colts and Ravens en route to a three-game winning streak, the outlook will be beautiful in Steel Town.
