Calvin Johnson back running, feeling healthy in London

The Lions are one of the best teams in the NFC right now, and they've been succeeding with only sporadic help from the best offensive skill position player in football, Calvin Johnson.

Johnson sat in last week's comeback win over the Saints after a lengthy pre-game workout. Now in London, preparing for Sunday's game against the Falcons, he sounds like a receiver angling to get back on the field sooner than later.

"I'm back running," Johnson told NFL Media's Steve Wyche on Tuesday. "That's a great thing for me right now."

While it would make the most sense for Johnson to sit out this week and compound that with a bye week full of rest and treatment, Johnson sounds like a player intent on playing as soon as possible.

After all, the team has been playing well without him, or with Johnson in a seriously limited role. And a Lions team with a fully healthy Megatron would be scary.
