Texas Tech wide receiver Jakeem Grant reportedly was stabbed in an off-campus incident early Sunday morning in Lubbock, Texas.

Grant is Tech's leading receiver, with 50 catches for 629 yards and five touchdowns.

While the incident at a party reportedly included more than 20 rounds being fired from multiple weapons, a Lubbock TV station said Grant was stabbed in the neck; police confirmed he had a laceration on his neck. He briefly was hospitalized and is "doing well," an athletic department spokesman told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Texas Tech plays at TCU this Saturday, and it's unknown if Grant (5-foot-6, 170 pounds) -- a junior who was an honorable mention All-Big 12 pick last season -- will be able to play.
